PSG Finally Lands UEFA Champions League Title

 



PSG, after many years of project, last night demolished Inter Milan to clinch their first ever UEFA Champions League trophy.


the Parisians were rampant with a 5-0 win on the night inMunich, Germany, in one of the most one sided final in the history of the competition. Luis Enrique also became the second coach to win the coveted trophy in two separate clubs. He led Barcelona to victory in 2015 and now.


His compatriot also did the feat with FC Barcelona and Manchester City in 2009 and 2023. It culminated in the PSG project when it was purchased by Qatari billionaire and millions of pounds sunk into it. It faltered along the way-even with its "Galacticos" that had Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar Junior.


The team also managed through the group stage, losing to Arsenal and eventually picked up from the knock out stage and avenged the Arsenal defeat in the two-legged semi final. PSG won 1-0 at the Emirates in the first leg and 2-1 in Paris to advance to the final on 3-1 aggregate.



As for Inter, they were in the hunt for a treble 38 days ago and lost when it mattered most. The devastating loss to PSG came as a surprise having knocked out Barcelona in the thrilling semi final encounters that produced a record 13 goals. Ended 3-3 in the first leg at the Nou Camp and 4-3 at the San Siro after extra time.

Nigeria Cannot Afford a One Party System

  It is not a secret that the ruling APC is bent on destroying the opposition and coast home in the 2027 General Election. It has dismantled the the opposition PDP and the upcoming ADC that Nigerians fear that the 2027 elections might just be a coronation exercise despite their displeasure with the ruling party. FIFA U20 World Cup: Argentina Await Flying Eagles Battle in Round of 16

  The Flying Eagles of Nigeria will take on Argentina in the round of 16 of the ongoing FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile. The Nigerian lads finished third in Group  to earn a place as one of the best losers after a pulsating 1-1 draw against Colombia early Monday morning.
