After Zubimendi Arsenal Eye Gyokeres Deal

 



Arsenal are now looking to conclude the deal to bring Victor Gyokeres to the EWmirates Stadium after concluding the 51m pounds deal for Martin Zubimendi.


Zubimendi, 26, was unveiled on Sunday after the unveiling, initially scheduled for Friday was put on hold in honour of the late Liverpool striker Diogo Jota, who died alongside his younger brother, Andre, on Thursday on his way back for pre season in Spain. Jota died in a car crash after his doctor warned him against flying after a minor surgery. He just got wedded to his long term girlfriend 11 days earlier.


After the unveiling of the Spaniard, Portuguese forward, Gyokeres, 27, is next in line for a big summer move. He had reportedly told Sporting Lisbon he would not play for them again and was also specific about the side he wanted to join. Manchester United were earlier in for the striker.


Benjamin Sesko is also on Arsenal radar although things have cooled off a bit in the negotiation between RB Leipzig and Arsenal over the transfer fee. The Gunners have also been linked with Chelsea's Noni Madueke, who has reportedly agreed personal terms to join on a five-year-deal. Chelsea on the other hand want youth prodigy, Ethan Nwaneri as part of the deal.


In the meantime, Valencia defender, Christhian Mosquera is also set for the Emirates Stadium after agreeing to join but Arsenal though keen, are yet to meet the club's valuation of the player.

Nigeria Cannot Afford a One Party System

  It is not a secret that the ruling APC is bent on destroying the opposition and coast home in the 2027 General Election. It has dismantled the the opposition PDP and the upcoming ADC that Nigerians fear that the 2027 elections might just be a coronation exercise despite their displeasure with the ruling party. FIFA U20 World Cup: Argentina Await Flying Eagles Battle in Round of 16

  The Flying Eagles of Nigeria will take on Argentina in the round of 16 of the ongoing FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile. The Nigerian lads finished third in Group  to earn a place as one of the best losers after a pulsating 1-1 draw against Colombia early Monday morning. Captain, Daniel Bameyi scored from the penalty spot for his consecutive penalty goal to rescue a point against Colombia, who had scored earlier.
