Amusan Leads Nigeria to World Athletics Championship

 



World record holder, Tobi Amusan is leading Nigeria's 15- man contingent to the World Athletics Championship later this month.


Nigeria unfortunately missed out in the relays. However, Nigeria is hopeful of getting medals in Nathaniel Ezekiel, who won the bronze medal in the finale of the Diamond League in the 400m Hurdles. Ezekiel has been in good form in recent weeks.

Others for the 2025 World Athletics Championship are: Ese Brume in the women's long jump.


According to the AFN, Nigeria will take part in 11 events- 100m, 200m, 400m, 400mH, long jump, short put, hammer and discuss.

The event starts on September 13 to 21 in Tokyo Japan.
