Orashi National Congress Welcomes Governor Fubara, Deputy Governor Odu Back to Office
The Orashi National Congress (ONC) has extended heartfelt congratulations to the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminialayi Fubara, GSSRS, and the Deputy Governor, Professor Ngozi Mma Odu, as they officially resume office to continue steering the affairs of the state.
In a goodwill message signed by Amb. Emeni Ibe, President General of the Orashi National Congress, the socio-cultural body praised the leadership qualities of Governor Fubara and his deputy, while expressing confidence in their ability to bring purposeful governance, peace, and development to Rivers people.
Amb. Ibe described Governor Fubara as a “man of humility, vision, and resilience” and commended the choice of Prof. Ngozi Odu as deputy, noting her proven track record in academics and administration. He assured the government of ONC’s support in initiatives that would foster unity, economic growth, and human capital development in the state.
“As you both resume office, the Orashi National Congress and the entire Orashi region pray for wisdom, strength, and divine guidance to pilot the affairs of our dear state. We are confident that your administration will consolidate democratic governance and bring greater prosperity to Rivers State,” the statement read.
The Orashi National Congress further urged all Rivers people to support the administration in its mission to promote peace, stability, and inclusive growth.
Meanwhile, a mammoth crowed showed up at the Government House in Port Harcourt on Thursday to welcome the governor. The governor, however, did not show up as he was reportedly still in Abuja. The latest report has it that he is expected in Port Harcourt today with thousands of his supporters already mobilised to the Obafemi Awolowo International Airport, Omagwa, to receive him.
